The 2020 US election has been like none we've ever seen in the past. Record turnout, a global pandemic, and a deeply divided nation. After the victory, Joe Biden, alongside his Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, held dual speeches, both calling for unity and optimism, marking a change in approach from the Trump era.
While the Democrats are ready to take over, the incumbent president Donald Trump is getting ready to boycott the results. As mentioned before, his campaign lawyers have launched multiple lawsuits claiming election fraud and demanding a recount. He is also planning to hold rallies to gain support for his fight over the election's result. However, from the experts' point of view, the outcome desired by Donald Trump is unlikely to happen. For today, President Trump has nothing scheduled, but Joe Biden will meet with a COVID-19 task force to assess the country's most significant problem for when he will take office in January.
After he officially comes into office, Mr. Biden is expected to reveal a series of executive and legislative orders to undo some controversial legislation approved during the Trump Administration. Some of the most critical issues that will be tackled include the abrogation of the "Muslim ban," rejoin the Paris Climate Agreement and the WHO. Moreover, he is to restart the DREAMers program and to review the deportation system.
