Although states began to resume their businesses, the number of unemployed people is still high.
The latest report released by the Department of Labor showed another 2.438 million people who have filed for unemployment benefits. The result is higher than the 2.4 million expected.
In nine weeks, more than 38 million people wound up without a job.
At a state level, California had an increase of 33,448, while Georgia dropped by 66,224. Besides these numbers, there are another 2.23 million under Pandemic Unemployment Assistance.
Unlike the previous reports, when the market didn't budge, today the American benchmarks reacted: USA30 lost 0.2%, as well as USA500. TECH100 dropped by 0.1%.
