In April 2020, it was operating 264 branches across 44 states and the District of Columbia, as well as five provinces in Canada. The company also boasts a network of 260 distribution centres. The company was known as GYP Holdings I Corp (founded in 1971), changing its name to GMS Inc. in July 2015.
