Most markets maintained momentum ahead of the busiest week of corporate earnings

The US

Wall Street traded in a mixed fashion, ahead of the busiest week of the corporate earnings season. FAANG components are due to report after the market closes on Tuesday and Wednesday.  USA30 fell 0.03%, while USA500 was up 0.31%. TECH100 added 0.97%.

Crude oil traded 0.9% lower at $61.56 per barrel.

Gold climbed 0.1% to $1,779 per ounce.

 

Asia and Australia

Markets mainly were up as investors await the US Federal Reserve’s policy decision due later this week. Moreover, local political events left their mark on the markets.

HongKong45 added 0.20%.

Japan225 was up 0.27%.

Down under, Australia200 edged 0.11% lower.

 

Europe

Stocks edged higher as investors gear up for a busy week of earnings and economic data. Germany30 rose 0.22%, and UK100 climbed 0.21%. France40 rose 0.3%.

Brent oil fell 1% to $64.80 per barrel.

EUR/USD traded flat at 1.2096.
