The US labor market seems to step up its recovery process, according to latest official report

First-time jobless claims totaled 547,000, which was below the 607,000 estimated and a new low for the pandemic era. The progress made on vaccinating people - nearly 3 million doses administrated daily - contributed to the recovery.

Despite the continuous decline, and with states relaxing restrictions and looking to hire people, approximately 8 million Americans remain without a job due to the pandemic.

Following the news, markets pointed to a flat opening.
