UPS is getting ready for the holiday season

United Parcel Service, commonly known as UPS, is already looking forward to the holiday season.

The company announced that they would hire more than 100,000 workers this winter in order to avoid being overwhelmed by deliveries, which already happened during the pandemic-induced #shopping spree.

UPS expects this year's season to by one month longer than usual, as it will start in October through January, given the fact that retailers are starting the season earlier.

The Atlanta-based company already hired 39,000 people in the US in the past quarter, and it also started to invest in automation. In #Q2, the daily average volume for domestic deliveries increased by 91% compared to the 2019’s Q4.

Currently, UPS stock price is trading 0.53% lower.
