Intel stays one step ahead of the competition with its in-house chips

At the annual Consumer Electronics Show, Intel announced that it is just a few steps away from releasing its four new families of chips.

Intel is getting ready to release the third generation of Xeon Scalable processors, a laptop, and desktop chips. They are created to address the needs of specific markets. While the business processors have security measures built-in, others are meant to use complex video games. Its statement comes when the chip sector is facing supply chain issues due to the pandemic. One company that still suffers from the pandemic’s effects is one of Intel’s competitors, Nvidia.

According to Barrons, Intel is taking advantage of the fact that it is designing and making the chips in-house, “allocating the resources to ramp production of chips for its highly profitable data center division.”

Following the news, Intel stock price added 0.9%.
