Untightened bolts and roof trims made Tesla recall more than 9,000 cars

After General Motors announced that will recall 7 million vehicles due to faulty airbags, another company is recalling some of its vehicles.

For Tesla, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that "the front and spine cosmetic roof trim may have been adhered without first using primer, and one or both pieces of trim may separate from the vehicle while it is being driven." Following the data, Tesla will issue two recalls totaling around 9,500 cars. The larger recall of 9,136 covers the Model X vehicles produced in 2016, while the second involves 401 Model Y cars produced this year.

According to Tesla, its engineers discovered that the upper control arm tends to separate. All the recalled vehicles will be inspected and, if necessary, adjusted accordingly.

Despite the news, Tesla's stock price closed 3.35% higher.
