Crude oil rose 2%, hitting $74.94 per barrel.
Gold was up 0.29% to $1,776.80 per ounce.
The Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 92.567.
Asia and Australia
HongKong45 was closed for a holiday.
Japan225 fell 0.3% as sources said COVID-19 restrictions were likely to be extended.
Down under, Australia200 lost 0.65% as losses in the Consumer Discretionary, Consumer Staples and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
Europe
Germany30 rose 0.47%, driven by gains in Media, Insurance and Chemicals sectors. France40 gained 0.71%.
Brent oil traded 1.18% higher to $75.50 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.07% to 1.1846.
